Bethany joined HDR’s architectural research team in 2011. A native South Dakotan, she attended the University of Nebraska, majoring first in English, then psychology, and ultimately graduating with a degree in interior design. Working in architectural research, a field that she became passionate about during her graduate studies, offers a unique outlet to stay immersed in her love of all of three subjects. Bethany’s primary research interests lie in cultivating a greater understanding of how design can support physical and emotional wellbeing. She now lives in Minneapolis with her husband Matt and their dog Finn.
