As a child, Eric spent Saturday mornings with his neurosurgeon father on his rounds through Stanford Hospital. Eric would wait at the door while his father listened, reassured and sometimes joked with patients whose lives depended on not only his expertise, but on his attentive presence. Nothing in life matched the gravity and beauty of those healing moments. Although Eric was not destined for the medical profession, he has devoted his architectural career to healthcare design, and has thus been able to work with nurses and physicians in this worthiest of missions. As a Design Principal with 35 years of experience, he looks for opportunities to open similar doors for the next generation.
