Drinking Water Quality Lead | Claremont, CA | US

Gwen is a Drinking Water Quality Lead at the Applied Research and Engineering Center (AREC) in Claremont, California. She supports laboratory efforts for water quality projects at HDR, including bench studies to optimize treatment conditions and pilot-scale studies to test and refine before implementation. After years of research in environmental aquatic chemistry (she has her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Oceanography and a PhD in Chemistry) and liking all things water, she found a rewarding career in drinking water research.

Outside of work, she can be found gardening, taking on one home improvement project or another, swimming, hiking, camping or traveling, preferably near a river, lake or ocean.
