Wayfinding + Signage Design Lead | Princeton, NJ, USA

Jeff grew up in the Philly ‘burbs and still lives in the area. He is a graduate of the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and has continued his education at Penn State, focusing on Human Factors and Human-Centered Design. He got his start in the advertising world, and is now a member of HDR’s Wayfinding + Signage Studio. Jeff admits to having a terrible sense of direction, which probably explains why he is so passionate about wayfinding. He loves being part of an integrated team, where wayfinding can be coordinated with architects, interior designers, lighting designers, and site planners. In this atmosphere, wayfinding elements can be integrated, rather than applied. Jeff is fascinated with human behavior and gaining a better understanding of what exactly makes specific design solutions effective.

Jeff’s hobbies include cooking, home improvements, and working with his two sons on custom bicycles or anything with an engine. He enjoys playing golf even though he is awful at it, and also enjoys a nice Scotch from time to time.
