Joseph is originally from Newburgh, New York, and moved to Phoenix in 2015. He does environmental fieldwork, such as surveys for protected plants and animals, assists with writing environmental documents, and has worked on a variety of projects in the transportation, transit, and energy fields. Most recently, he helped inventory all bus stops in several communities outside of metropolitan Phoenix to help determine which bus stops met and did not meet requirements set by the Americans with Disabilities Act. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, listening to National Public Radio and music, birding, learning about nature, volunteering, hiking, and reading.
