Kent was born and raised in rural Nebraska where he developed a love for the outdoors, Husker football and Runza sandwiches. He began his career in the construction industry before landing a design internship at HDR, while studying architecture at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Shortly after completing his master’s degree, Kent moved to the Washington, DC area where he currently resides with his wife and two sons.
Outside of work, Kent volunteers his time at non-profit organizations in the community, enjoys coaching youth sports and looks forward to his next trek through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Admittedly, he is still searching for the meaning of life, but has encountered some amazing people and great mentors along the way.
