Valerie proudly cites her roots in the “Big Sky” state of Montana, and moved to Denver to work for HDR in 2008. When not pronouncing “creek” as “crick,” she keeps close ties with her alma mater, Montana State University, where she was recently invited to be a member of the School of Architecture Advisory Council. Valerie is the chair of the Denver office’s Young Professionals Group and is passionate about keeping HDR involved in the community. Her goals for the next year include: leaving more pairs of shoes at home than at the office, trading in her aplines for telemark skis, and tackling her architectural licensing exams. Immersed in construction administration work presently, Valerie’s desk has been taken over by a lovely assortment of bricks, roofing tiles, paint chips and product catalogues.
