Now Practice Leader for Site Design Services at HDR, Vince started his career here in 1978 as a landscape architecture graduate two years out of Iowa State University. With humble beginnings in the Omaha office, he transferred to Dallas in the fall of 1985. After growing and leading a Site Design/Landscape Architecture studio for over 20 years, Vince’s career took a giant turn towards Marketing in late 2005, early 2006. Asked to lead a new initiative promoting Design Excellence at HDR, he soon got involved in Design Awards submissions, project/people photography, communications/PR, etc., ultimately preparing him for his previous role in the company as Director of AMS. Recently, he returned to his “roots” in the company and looks forward to taking the Site Design Practice to new heights in 2014 and beyond.
A problem-solver and overall “people person,” Vince also enjoys creative challenges and developing relationships, both internally and externally. Away from HDR, Vince enjoys reading/thinking/reflecting, as well as spending quality time with his wife of 33 years, Ellen. He is the father of four grown children and grandfather of a 2 year old granddaughter and six-month old grandson. He loves serving as an elder at Chase Oaks Church, and co-leads a Life Group there with his wife, too.
